CHECK YOUR GATE

BECAUSE EVERYTHING CHERISHED LIES BEHIND IT PEOPLE | PETS | PROPERTY

The campaign’s purpose is to highlight the connection between D&D and gate safety, thus strengthening the markets emotional connection to the brand and products. D&D Technologies is committed to preventing toddler drownings worldwide and work closely with water safety organisations globally. D&D has been awarded the Kidsafe Product of The Year award in the year 2000 for the MagnaLatch ® as well as the recipient of three Australian Design Awards, a Good Design Award, and two Australian Design Marks for its range of gate latches, locks, and hinges. The campaigns aligned with the successful ‘Neighbourhood Watch Week’ that runs between 7-13th of November and have a close association with Laurie Lawrence, a former Australian Olympic Swimming Coach, and champion of the drowning awareness program, Kids Alive swimming education strategy. Laurie and his daughter Emma Lawrence are long-time ambassadors for D&D’s Pool Safety products, both very passionate about safety in and around swimming pools.

D&D are also proud founders and sponsors of the NDPA in the United States. D&D also used the campaign to introduce new Safe Gates Ambassador Ben Hannant, a former NRL player, breakfast radio announcer and married father of eight. Ben owns multiple animals and is building a new home, stables and pool on the Gold Coast in Queensland. D&D acquired great images and videos of Ben and his family for current and future marketing purposes. All campaign content was visible through multiple channels including online magazine advertorials, EDM’s, radio and TV live interviews, social media and blog posts. Overall, D&D secured over 150 items with an estimated audience reach of over 10 million!
