Opening Solutions 2023 - Issue 15

One of the key industry trends right now is further acceleration towards digital access solutions for both residential and non-residential buildings. In this edition’s cover story we look at 5 emerging trends in the Commercial Security Access Control Systems for 2024, discuss the benefits of Access Control in accommodation settings, and there’s a downloadable case study for those who would like to learn more. 2023 was a busy year for product launches across our entire business. Among these is the new Lockwood Gen6TX keying system, which will be followed by Lockwood TwinX in early 2024, both have patent protection till 2036. Our Smart Lock category also continues to grow, with the introduction of the Yale Assure Lever and the Yale YDM7220 and 3109 mortice locks. You can read more in our feature content throughout this edition. Industry-wide there is increased regulatory focus for certified product solutions, and the Yale Unity Fire-Rated smart lock with accessible compliant lever is one of our newly launched, certified products. Keeping pace with industry trends, we introduced the Lockwood VIVID ® Collection – a comprehensive range of door hardware in stylish colours that will appeal to new home buyers and renovators alike. Finally, we continue to see demand for sustainable product solutions such as those in use at the new Northern Private Hospital project in Whittlesea, VIC. On behalf of ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Australia, we thank you for your continued support and custom and wish you all a Merry Christmas and happy holidays. Take this time to enjoy with family and friends, stay safe and we look forward to working with you in 2024.
